Sexual Violence Resources in the Philly Community

There are several community-led organizations to support survivors of sexual violence in Philadelphia. No resource is perfect, but this list includes hotlines and options for mental, emotional, and legal support.

WOAR – Philadelphia Center Against Sexual Violence (formerly Women Organized Against Rape)One Penn Center 1617 John F Kennedy Blvd., Suite 1100215-985-3333*Available 24/7 WOAR is a non-profit organization that provides a 24-hour hotline, free individual and group counseling to children and adults who have experienced sexual abuse/assault, counseling in Spanish, and hospital and court accompaniment. WOAR provides services to all survivors regardless of gender or sexual orientation and offers a Queer Survivors Group.
Mazzoni Health Center215-563-0652Provides medical care, counseling, and case management services for the LGBTQ+ community. 
Philadelphia Sexual Assault Response Center (PSARC)Non emergency phone: 215-800-1589Emergency (for on-call sexual assault nurse examiner): 215-425-1625Provides forensic medical exams after sexual assault. You are not required to make an official report to the police. Penn DPS Special Services Department provides 24/7 transportation and accompaniment to the center. It is not accessible by public transit.Survivors can bring a friend or support network, and WOAR is also often available to provide someone to keep survivors company and advocate for them throughout the process.

Philadelphia Domestic Violence Hotline866-723-3041*Available 24/7 Provides 24-hour crisis response. Is a collaboration between Philadelphia’s domestic violence agencies and can connect callers with shelter access, counseling services, etc.
Congreso de Latinos Unidos: Latina Domestic Violence Project216 W. Somerset Street Philadelphia, PA 19133215-763-8870 x 1210Congreso provides support groups, counseling, resource referrals, emergency relocation and housing assistance for survivors and their families. No referral is necessary.

No referral is necessary. WAA provides services to survivors of all genders.
National Domestic Violence Hotline800-799-SAFE (7233)855-812-1001 (Deaf Hotline) *Available 24/7 This 24/7 hotline provides crisis intervention in both English and Spanish, and referrals to local services and shelters for victims of partner or spousal abuse, and connects callers with emergency help in their own communities, including emergency services and shelters.
RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) 1-800-656-HOPERAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) is the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization, and operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline
